Chained

Coming home from Makasar, Sulawesi, I found in my e-mail box, at least three of the same messages: The President of Argentina received this picture and called it 'junkmail.' Eight days later, his son died. A man received this picture and immediately sent out copies. His surprise was winning the lottery. Alberto Martinez received this picture, gave it to his secretary to make copiesbut they forgot to distribute it. She lost her job and he lost his family. This picture is miraculous and sacred, don't forget to forward this within 13 days to at least 20 people. Do Not Forget to forward and you will receive a huge surprise!! Regards,Trina Lau.I suppose the message is a form of chain letter. I have received chain letters during my primary school days but they all have to do with the Christian saints. The picture enclosed here however are very Hindu and perhaps are Hindu deities. I suppose the traditional chain letters have progressed today or should I say degenerate further to chain e-mails? Whether they involved Christian saints or Hindu deities, they are pretty cruel, playing on the fear of an innocent mind. Originally when Jesus or any other prophet was around, the logical mind would tell us that there is no such things as chain letters, let alone chain e-mails for then, there is no computers for one to play with. Chain letters and chain e-mails should therefore be man-made for even if there is God, mighty as He is said to be, He would not therefore, have to depend on some unscrupulous men to spread to good word. I just wonder now, is there a Buddhist chain letter or chain e-mail around?
