As we live through our lives, occasionally we will come across people who look back at the past with disdain, often belittling it as something absolutely obsolete, out-of-date and definitely irrelevant and not practical in this modern world. Such people often pooh-pooh at the horse-drawn carriage, citing and idolising the more modern gadgets instead, the motorcar for instance or maybe even the bicycle forgetting that all share in common the ancient circular wheels. The latter had been around since time immemorial and modern machines unashamedly use them. One cannot imagine having a modern motorcar or an airplane running on say, triangular or square wheels just to be really modern! Many gadgets such as the hammer and saw are also ancient if we allow us to see so but they are still in use in practically every household today. The fact is things ancient may not be as obsolete and as inpractical as we want to make them be. This blog is created to help everyone of us to look into an ancient thought, the Dhamma. Start thinking!
