Anyue

Anyue, the hometown of Chinese folk arts, in Southwest China's Sichuan Province boasts an infinite treasure trove of splendid stone sculptures. There are more than 200 grottos there that house over 100,000 Buddhist statues and sutras of about 400,000 words. The grottos have a history of about 1,500 years, with construction beginning in the Southern Dynasty and reaching its peak during the Song Dynasty.
