Impermanent Water

The Fontana di Trevi or Trevi Fountain, arguably the most beautiful and most famous fountain in all of Rome is an impressive monument that dominates the small Trevi square located in the Quirinale district. The fountain is at the ending part of the Aqua Virgo, an aqueduct constructed in 19 BC to bringwater all the way from the Salone Springs which is approximately 20km away. It had been reported that on Friday, 19 October, 2007, the Trevi Fountain turned into a red pool. Coloring had been dumped into the pool and unknown group FTM Futuristic Action 2007 which seeks to defend the unemployed, old and sick had left a box of leaflets nearby, claiming responsibility.
