A Provoking Quip


Yesterday, I heard someone giving some very good advice on forgiving someone and forgetting about the latter's misdeed. That was easily said than done, I suppose. Anyway, when the guy gave the advice, his friend had quipped Oh, you are trying so hard to be nice. You'll end up being the Buddha. To this, the former had answered. I don't believe in the Buddha. Then came another quip, You don't have to believe in Him. You don't even know Him. How could you possibly believe a man who lived thousands of years ago whom you don't know when you can't even believe someone closed living in the present? Now, that makes me wonder...
