There is an interesting piece of news in The Star today: Court allows Muslim convert to return to Buddhism. In this supposedly landmark case, Siti Fatimah Tan Abdullah, 39,who is born Tan Ean Huang, from Nibong Tebal, Penang, is allowed to renounce Islam and officially revert to her original faith. Siti Fatimah has converted in July 1998 after marrying an Iranian, Ferdoun Ashanian but the latter had left her after a few months into the marriage. Siti Fatimah did not practise Islam after the marriage and her husband and her had even visited temples and ate pork. The lady had also purportedly maintained her Buddhist leanings and prayed to deities like Tua Pek Kong, Kuan Yin and Thi Kong. Now, is that Buddhism? Spare a thought and share an opinion!

Something to put on or forget, just as one pleases.
It somehow reminds me of this bible verse, that sais something about "own righteousness being like filthy rags". (Give me pardon on this, I am not pushing a doctrine).
Well, there are many ways to look upon religion. In trying to validate the true inner-beliefs I do now try (more and more) to scan the 'spirituality' of people or movements or doctrines.
Thus meaning to find the essential facts they really hold onto. And of course back-checking my own heart and mind.
