A Child Prodigy?

The Mail online published some fabulous paintings which art expert Jeremy Green, owner of The Canon Gallery in Huntingdon, Cambridgeshire described as stylish and unusual and why, of course - the artist, Kieron Williamson whose work was shown at the Last Picture Show In Town, Cromer Road, Holt, Norfolk, was a mere six-year old. That reminded me of child prodigies, Pablo Picasso, the Spanish painter who showed a passion and a skill for drawing from an early age as well as Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart, the influential composer of the Classical era, who started composing at age five and had under his belt, six hundred compositions. Child prodigies often intrigue. PET scans performed on several math prodigies have suggested that the brain is capable of holding relevant information for extended periods, usually hours and specific areas of the brain are capable of associating themselves with prodigious number manipulation but then this is just the attempt to explain the existence of Maths prodigies. This and the Cerebellum Theory that states that the cerebellum acts to streamline the speed and efficiency of all thought processes would not do perhaps, to explain prodigies like Kieron Williamson, whose skills, I tend to believe, has little to do with thought processes. Some researchers believe that prodigious talent tends to be due to other factors such as the innate talent of the child, the energetic and emotional investment that the child ventures, the personal characteristics of the individual and even the environment is said to play a dominant role. Some Buddhists would attribute child prodigies to rebirth, the doctrine that states that the consciousness of a person, upon the death or dissolution of the aggregates (skandhas) will cause the arising of a new group of skandhas. Rebirth could happen many times and considering the many lifetimes involved, wouldn't this so long period of time allows a person to live through different environments and to go through various experiences that perhaps streamline the brain, more specifically the cerebellum and hone a skill? As it is, the watercolours of the six-yeor-old boy was said to have a very rigid structure as if he has been painting in that style for some time, a few lifetimes perhaps?

I read many times that some children "continue" to create like died artists or other important and known persons. Materialists say "materia does not desappear"... :0)))

It's difficult to understand rebirth. Don't you wish you know your past life?

No, I don't want it. But I'm sure once I had something with dharma studies and probably was a monk. I told you. And probably it was something about Dzogchen and Vajrasattva.
