It's all about Sex

In Sungai Petani, Kedah, a 31-year-old man who was about to surprise his wife on her birthday with her favourite cake and flowers was himself rudely surprised when the latter was arrested for khalwat with another man in a hotel room. That means the woman was together with a man other than her husband and could well be doing or going to do something intimate which she should only be doing with her husband. Elsewhere, in Singapore, forty nine couples in their 30s and mostly professionals, reportedly signed up at a website to swop sex partners. Most of them stressed that they were merely looking for sex. In life, many things, I suppose deal with sex. It is not surprising then there is sex in religions. In Christianity for instance, there is sex; only thing is the various Christian denominations' approach to is different and while there are wide ranging views on acceptable sexual conduct, virtually all modern Christians agree that extramarital affairs are clearly forbidden by the Bible. If you consider the third of the Buddhist Five Precepts, Kāmesu micchācāra veramaī sikkhāpada samādiyāmi or I undertake the training rule to abstain from sexual misconduct, you'd agree that Christians and Buddhists share the same view on extramarital affairs. That is if you consider extramarital affair is a sexual misconduct; ditto, wife, husband or partner swopping...
