A 27 year-old man who has been caught red handed, stealing from a car in a parking lot in Bellisa Row in Pulau Tikus, Penang reminds me of Ironside, an old NBC television series which stars Raymond Burr as a former San Francisco Police Department Chief of Detectives. The former has smashed the side window of a car with a rock to steal while the latter. Ironside, albeit a fictional character, goes about using his brain to solve crimes. Both men are wheelchair-bound and that brings to mind something that Buddha says - that the mind is the forerunner, that all men own the sovereignty of mind. It is by mind the world is led and by the mind the world is drawn. That one wheelchair-bound man commits a crime and the other fights crimes suggests that there is indeed nothing to stop a physically-handicapped man or woman from committing a crime or from doing good deed.The mind will decide.
