Changing your Brain

It is not just Buddhist monks who meditate. Catholic nuns meditate too and this, according to a neuroscience author, Andrew Newberg, boost their brain power. In his book How God Changes Your Brain, the author said both meditation and intense prayer bring about concentrating and calming effects.Brain scanners had in fact shown that intense meditation alters our grey matter, strengthening regions that focus the mind and foster compassion while calming those linked to fear and anger. Now, maybe it is only proper to read the book to see how God fits in all these.
