This year's Vesak was rather different from the previous year. This year, I got to huddle with friends and acquaintances in a 4-Wheel Drive which took us all the way up to the Sasanarakkha Buddhist Sanctuary in Taiping. Once up there, it was straight to work! The young boys and girls got to do some sweeping and later, like us, put up or rather placed lamps all over the sanctuary, along the curb of the tarred road, on rocks and other strategic locations. Everyone was working hard and there was no mention of the Dhamma. Do you reckon the young people or rather the people who come to celebrate Vesak know the Dhamma?
Is it possible to work hard and not miss the Dhamma?
