Vesak 2010: A Dhamma Tool
After the lamps had been lighted and the forest glowed, what do you think one could do in SSB during Vesak night? Go for a movie? Why not? Don't expect a comfortable auditorium though. Expect one in the outdoor very unlike the drive-in movie in America, or more accurately, like the one I had seen during my childhood when the government sent some civil servants to show black and white footage of the latest government projects or when Milo company came to my little village to show Charlton Heston's Planet of the Apes as the company promoted its drinks. That night, a Chinese movie on the life of a famous Chinese monk was shown. A movie is a good tool to propagate the Dhamma, don't you think?
