Documentaries sometimes are not for children; not that they could be too serious and deep for the understanding of the little innocent minds or too boring to hold their attention. They could well be violent and gory; just like the episode on the lions in Africa featured by Astro's Nat Geo Wild in Channel 550. Imagine watching a herd of lions attacking a bufalo or any other animal for that matter and watching the blood flow as the predators rip their victim apart. No wonder the documentary has been given a PG rating. While watching the documentary, you'd inadvertently wonder too if this Buddhist precept, Panatipata veramani sikkhapadam samadiyami, I undertake the training rule to abstain from taking life, is applicable to the animal world. That is despite the fact that animals are mindless.
