Raping a Wife

In Pandan Indah in Ampang, Kuala Lumpur, a husband dragged his 29-year-old wife into a room, tied her up and then raped her. The man had lost his temper when his wife refused to accompany him to her mother's home for a feast. I thought that was almost simliar to what Tony Leung Leung Ka-fai ( 梁家辉), the three-time Hong Kong Film Award-winning actor did to British actress, Jane March in Jean-Jacques Annaud's movie, The Lover. Of course, in the movie, Tony did not drag or tie up Jane; perhaps, he did not even rape her but he did get furious and let off steam by bedding her. Now, when it comes to the four letter word, Rape, even if it is done to a wife, I suppose it should be a violation of one of the Buddhist Five Precepts: Kāmesumicchācāra veramaṇī sikkhāpadaṃ samādiyāmi. I undertake the training rule to abstain from sexual misconduct. Is there any law that allows a man to do nasty things to his wife?
