Is Buddha a girl?

Seventeen  Christians were nailed to crosses in the Philippines as the country celebrated Good Friday. The reenactment of Jesus's suffering is an annual affair and it was reported that Church leaders have condemned the practice as a distortion of the true Easter message. That apart, probably there would be more condemnation from the pious when Bettany Hughes, an expert in ancient history raised the question: Is God a girl? Most deities, it was argued were women and Jesus's name was not even spared.
A feminist theologian had said that Jesus could have been a hermaphrodite and Bettany, the expert had said the fact  that Jesus had no children made his gender status even more uncertain. The same probably could not be said of the Buddha. Buddhist should know that Buddha is a  boy. In fact, people who read history should know that Buddha was a Sakyan prince and had had a a wife called Yasodhara and a child called Rahula. Period.
