Optimistic, Pessimistic and Realistic

Is life a suffering? Your optimistic mind may not want to admit it but Dukkha, the Buddhist term to denote suffering- stress, anxiety and dissatisfaction included, appears in the the very first of the Four Noble Truths and that probably emboldens it as the heart of our mundane world. Your optimistic mind would then probably view Buddhism as being a very pessimistic religion but now, I wonder if you ever see any truth in the types of dukkha expounded by the Buddha which seem to pervade every aspect of our life - Suffering of birth, Suffering of old age, Suffering of sickness, Suffering of death, Suffering of getting what you don't want, Suffering of not getting what you do want and the all-pervasive sufferingthe last being a very subtle dissatisfaction that exists all the time due to things being conditioned. In a moment of calmness,  your clear mind would probably find that realistic or would it not?
