Eye to Eye

Old news  this - In 2002, His Holiness the Dalai Lama at the International Buddhist Youth Conference in Auckland, New Zealand supposedly said all religions have the same potential to serve humanity. Religions are said to help humanity in different ways. While the Buddhist way of approach is not suitable to some people, they are however effective for other people. I suppose that means one man's meat is another man's poison. According to the holy man then, Buddha being aware of the diversity of mental dispositions among his own followers,  taught different teachings. Buddhists are further encouraged to recognize other faiths and traditions as representing different spiritual approaches that are suited to people of diverse spiritual inclinations and mental dispositions. Now I wonder : Will non-Buddhists see eye to eye? Will everyone, regardless of their beliefs and differences be accorded due respect?
