When someone was introduced as a 31-year-old Malaysian woman who was stranded in Syria after her Islamic State fighter-husband died in battle, one just have to believe in good faith that the one being introduced was indeed the said woman. The woman was pregnant when she flew to Istanbul with her husband and their first child. The family later settled in northwestern Syria where the husband became an IS fighter. Buddhist husbands, I suppose are different. In their zeal over their religion; they'd probably renounce their family. Buddha himself left his wife and child when he left his luxurious palace and a popular local monk, I read, bequeathed his house and property to his wife before giving up his mundane life. Many, I believe, would just retreat to a cave or jungle to meditate and make attempts to battle the Mara in their minds.
