There is a picture in the Net that would probably put a smile on your face. It did mine and reminded me too of a story of Buddha. If you have watched the movie Little Buddha which features Keenu Reeves, the cool Matrix guy as Prince Siddhartha, you'd probably remember this scene where a giant cobra used its hood like an umbrella to shelter a meditating Buddha from the rain. When I first read the story long ago, I was rather skeptical if there was such a big cobra. Then, just yesterday, I read about Mucalinda. That's a nāga, a snake-like being, King of Serpents which came from beneath the earth to protect Buddha with his hood. It's still something that I couldn't comprehend.
