I heard it was a whopping USD 1 million challenge. Luke Aikins, a stuntman and professional skydiver from Los Angeles, was to jump from a height of 8000 meter into a net without a parachute or a wing suit. Of course, if he'd missed the net, he'd perish. Never mind if he had made it. Some religions, I heard discourage suicides; forbid them even. If the stuntman's action wasn't suicide, I wonder what is. Anyway, I was wondering if his action is akin to breaking the first of the Five Percepts; Panatipata veramani sikkhapadam samadiyami I undertake the precept to refrain from destroying living creatures.
