E-Vesak

Just now, someone sent me a short video on US President Trump who supposedly has unwavering support from the evangelicals; the latter, I suppose are Christians who believe that salvation is by grace through faith in Jesus's atonement for human sin. While the country has been on lockdown mode during the current covid-19 pandemic with places like bars, pubs and the likes being closed, churches are however open. Lockdown in America most certainly is different from lockdown in Malaysia. Over here, many places are closed, entertainment centers, places of worship; churches, temples and mosques included. As the present MCO has been extended to 12 May and with the 2020 Vesak Day falling on 7 May, it is most certain that Buddhists in Malaysia will just stay home just like the Chinese did during Cheng Beng. Celebration in the Net however had been planned by Ti-Sarana Buddhist Society. That's a Buddhist organisation for the English speaking Buddhist Community in Singapore but I suppose the Buddhists in neighbouring Malaysia and elsewhere in the world will get to benefit. Saddhu! Saddhu! Saddhu !
