Training the Mind

Staying home due to the present covid-19 pandemic has its pro. There's this luxury of time for instance; instead of going out daily for work and coming home with work, there definitely is more time to indulge in pleasure; hedonistic activities including surfing the Net, watching movies especially when there's free WiFi to take advantage of or simply staring blankly into space. I suppose if you close your eyes, sit cross legged and just use your mind eyes to watch your in and out breathe, paying special attention to whether they are long or short, hot or cold, swirling or not or if they have stopped; or else watch, again with your mind eyes, your abdomen; your stomach in particular, if they are rising or falling, twisting like a screw, getting taut or not or whether like your breathe, they have again come to a stop. No, my dear; you are not dead. Just meditating. Training the mind to focus.
