Thanking Modern Technology

Second day into Chinese New Year; and just when I thought it would be a quiet day, I suddenly received an invitation to a virtual gathering via zoom meet. So, there we were; old friends, exchanging New Year greetings and catching up with each other. In Malacca, the authority had allowed  a maximum of 500 worshippers to perform the obligatory Friday prayers at some mosques. Buddhist prayers, I'm not sure if they are obligatory; but prayers could well be spiritual food for some ailing hearts. Last year's Vesak was conducted online and I notice later, many dhamma talks and puja sessions too. With modern technology, I suppose Buddhists and everyone else can pray and stay connected!
