Brush with God

In Cecil B. Demille's 1956 religious epic The Ten Commandments, Charlton Heston played Moses. According to the book of Exodus in the Torah, the Ten Commandments were revealed to Moses at Mount Sinai. Moses, otherwise known as Moshe Rabbenu is an important prophet in the Abrahamic religions which includes Christianity and Islam. A leader of the Israelites, he was credited with the authorship of the first five books of the bible. God first appeared to Moses as a burning bush on Mount Horeb to command him to return to Egypt to bring his people, the Israelites out of the bondage of slavery.  Later, at Mount Sinai, he was given the Ten Commandments from God. These were written on stone tablets which he later broke and reproduced on a new set of tablets. Buddha comparatively, didn't once communicate with God. Seated beneath a Bodhi tree, he was Siddhartha, a prince looking for the meaning of life. When deeply absorbed in meditation, he reflected and achieved Enlightenment only to become the Buddha.
