Friday the 13th

Today, Friday the 13th isn't quite the Chinese Ghost Festival yet; the festival starts on 22 August this year but already jokes about the festival have circulated. There is a video clip that makes its round each year, featuring the First Buddhist Chief High Priest of Malaysia, the late K. Sri Dhammananda on his take on the festival. It probably is good food for thought for it may make one wonder why some Chinese Buddhists still burn paper money and other paraphernaliaa during Cheng Beng or other festivals.
