The other day in Twitter someone talked about his favourite childhood cartoon characters; among which were Digimon, Pokemon, Sailormoon and Dragon Ball. Then another long list followed : Mirmo Zibang, Yu Gi Oh, Slamdunk, Cardcapture Sakura, Fairy Odd Parent, Powerpuff Girl; but never was it mentioned once about those memorable characters who once filled the family with delight :Mickey and Minnie Mouse, Donald and Daisy Duck, Goofy, Tom and Jerry, Roadrunner, Tweety Bird et al. Walt Disney co-created Mickey Mouse with Ub Iwerks in 1928 which means that Mickey is a nonagenarian and the other unmentioned greats aren't exactly young either: good objects for contemplation of old age; don't you think?
