Saturday Special : Goodies on Renri
My nephew came back from Kuala Lumpur with some goodies in tow. It's the seventh day of Chinese New Year; 人日 Renri, a day according to Chinese to be the day human beings were created; and one would think my nephew was back for this occasion when actually, he was back for the important event to be held the next day, the grand Hokkien Thanksgiving prayer. Contrary to the Chinese tale, the Bible had it that God rested on the seventh. God created human beings and other land animals on the sixth day and many other things before that. Buddhism, I suppose does not have a story on creation.
