Suffering Buddha

During Buddha's Parinibbana, Buddha had said,
Ananda, please make a couch ready for me with its head to the North between two big sala trees. I am tired and I want to lie down. Then, he had lied down on the right side, his left hand resting on the left thigh and the right hand, placed under the chin, closing the right nostril. This posture known as the sleeping lion's posture. The late Zen master, Thich Nhat Hanh once said that Buddha like everyine else suffered. Passing away at 80, there's no denying perhaps that he suffered old age.
