When a politician was sued for defamation, one would wonder if the she would suffer any negative effects. The politician was asked to pay different sum of money to three different people which added up to a big sum. Not sure if the politician is rich as she is rather young; but probably it hurts when it comes to the loss of money. If money isn't an issue, would the politician undergo some other kind of sufferings; or would she be able to hold on to her peace of mind considering that as a PhD holder, she could have an above average intelligence.
Would this verse in the Dhammapada applies to the politician?
