Sharing Christmas Joy

Christmas is over but there is this lingering thought about the festive season. It is not about the cake for Christmas but more on a question that has been posted in FB : Can Buddhists celebrate Christmas? There has been news of Christians being banned from celebrating Christmas in a Sumatran village
In Malaysia, there was even an instance when Muslims were prohibited from greeting Christians Merry Christmas. A mufti however said that they can do so as long as they are not glorifying Christianity. In the Buddhist context, greeting or celebrating Christmas perhaps does not involve breaking any of the Buddhist precepts. If one does not drink to the point of getting mindless  during Christmas, there perhaps is no reason to deny Buddhists some Christmas joy.

Sharing Christmas joy!
