Angkor Wat


Angkor Wat , a major tourist attraction and a world wonder, is a temple at Angkor, Cambodia, built for King Suryavarman II in the early 12th century . Initially, it was dedicated to dedicated to Vishnu, a Hindu God and later became a Buddhist centre. The temple is the epitome of the high classical style of Khmer architecture , combining the two basic plans of Khmer temple architecture: the temple mountain and the later galleried temples.
