What is a ghost? Do you believe in ghost? Is there a place in religion for ghosts? Just this morning, I was discussing ghosts with some people and I recalled someone whom I know who claimed to be able to see ghosts since a very young age. A ghost is said to be the apparition of a deceased person, frequently similar in appearance to that person, and usually encountered in places she or he frequented, or in association with the person's former belongings. By that, I suppose the ghost will be a nice ghost just like the ghost portrayed by Patrick Swayze in the 1990 romantic movie of the same name which also starred Demi Moore and Whoopi Goldberg. Now, if a ghost is nice, need a person fear it?
Just have a view of this video! Do people fear ghosts or do ghosts fear people?

If you treat "spirits" that live with you with respect, your life becomes some better, because you have less problems in your house. Because "spirits" have the same emotions as we have.
One of the religions that treats "spirits" and all alive souls with respect is Bön.
I had some interesting videos... Now try to find the address... 2 videos in the bottom of the post.
Not very sure if I know about Bon, but if I am not mistaken, it's a Japanese festival, very similar to the Chinese, Tibetan and Vietnamese festival honouring the dead.
And thanks for the information about the videos. Will find time to have a look.
I think "god" is a word, describing something that exists inside us. If for somebody it's electricity -why not? I don't believe in "astral travelling" but it does not means I'm right. It only means I'm not able to accept it or I don't have this realization, if it's true.
I don't know, if there is a festival with this name (Bön) in Japan. I wrote about pre-buddhist religion of Tibet.
One singer said so:"and if you are hard as a tree, you will born as baobab and will be baobab 1000 years till the death" ;((( Oi-yoi-yoi!!!
Actually there are a lot of 'phenomenons' or 'subjects' or 'objects' related to 'ghosts'.
There are ... ghosts, spirits, demons, devils, haunted houses, curses, blessings, caring angels etc. etc.
The above things (or 'not-things') can be interpreted by ... rationality , irrationality, doctrine, philosophy, isms, religion, practice, magic, faith, belief as being existent or non existent , as having being or no being.
Beauty is in the eyes of the beholder?
I do not believe in ghosts, but I respect those who do. Also, I think if I ever ran into one, I would have nothing to fear. -Mike.
