A scholar once visited a famous Zen master to learn about Zen. He talked about the subject while the master poured tea into his cup. He poured it to the brim, and then kept on pouring. The scholar saw the cup overflowing and blurted, The cup is overfull! No more tea will go in!. You are like this cup, the master replied.
