Evil Deeds

It may be well with the evil-doer
as long as the evil ripens not.
But when it does ripen,
then the evil-doer sees
the painful results of of his evil deeds.

My greatest evil is laziness. Is there a very powerful practice to kill him?

If you are aware of that evil, that's already the first step to salvation! Maybe, can use that as a subject for contemplation or a mantra for meditation. Then, even if we don't overcome laziness, we have put it into some use, haven't we?

Ah, it's a great idea! In the Teaching is said, we have not try to "kill" the enemy, it will only grow.

Could you explain me,pls, how to do from it mantra for meditation?

Wow! That's a hard question. From what I have read, a mantra is something you repeat over and over. There are different types of meditation. A mantra when repeated over and over will help to cultivate concentration which I believe make the mind clear and focussed. However, there are many things that could be used as mantra and it has to suit a person's temperament and even that it has to be given at the proper time by the proper teacher. And then, there is Vipassana meditation where you have to observe with your mind eye how things changes. It's common to observe the breath or the rising and falling of the stomach, and in our case here, maybe, we can observe how the laziness comes and how it develops. Take note that it's just an opinion of a layman, here, dear Liudmila!

Thank you for the great link you gave me. Really great.

Then I wanted to say, mantra is not a simple distraction or concentrating help. Mantra is healing with sound. And it's very important.
It has to be given by a Teacher, but... As always there are but.

I think, there are other sides HOW mantra can heal. Like the power of many years and persons that repeat the same mantra. But those are MY thoughts about it.
