The Original Wendy

Wendy's International Inc. is United States' third-largest hamburger chain. Founded by Dave Thomas , the restaurant had actually been named after his 8-year-old daughter. The business began in 1969 and presently, there are about 6,600 restaurants in the United States and abroad. However, the original restaurant in Ohio will close because of poor sales. The original restaurants is unable to generate sufficient sales at night or during weekends, when government buildings are closed. Besides, the restaurant has no drive-through window, has limited parking space and needs substantial building improvements.

There is something just not right about it, I think. It started such a large franchise. It is too bad that it has to close.

That is what impermanence is all about. And in this case, the original restaurant is gone but there are still many other wendys around, I suppose.
