Many years ago, a lady teacher taught me both walking and sitting meditation. Walking meditation is relatively easier. You just have to look ahead, with your eyes wide open of course. Meanwhile as you walk, your mind eye would note how you take each step. If you start walking with your right leg, you would take note in your mind, you mind saying silently, right leg. When you raise it, you note with your mind eye, you mind again saying silently, right leg up. Does the leg move up quickly? Does it feel heavy? etc. etc. Take note. Again as you drop your leg to the floor, you note silently, right leg down. And as it touches the floor, you note how it lands, Does the right foot drop tip down first? Does the entire sole touches the ground simultaneously? Is the ground hard or soft, hot or cold? How does your sole feel? etc. etc. When your left leg starts to move, you take note in the same manner and the process repeats. Take note too if you stop walking, say stop silently in your mind. Take note too if you are turning, saying silently, turning right, turning left... depending on the direction you are turning. Walking meditation is probably child play to you!
P.S. Liudmila reminded me that a quiet environment is advisable and then I thought about the position of the hands. You can fold it neatly behind you but be relaxed!

I tryed to do it on the way to take a bus. There are not footways and the road is narrow. Just for 2 cars -and it's not always so large... I tell you the truth: I don't know, why I'm here to write it to you, else. ;)))
