Whither go the Rohingya people?

Mention the Rohingya people and one thinks of their persecution in Myammar. Thought to be from Bengal, these people could be found in Bangladesh and Pakistan, of course; and elsewhere too, in Saudi Arabia, and surprisingly Thailand and Malaysia too. Some found their way to Malaysia illegally by boat and once,  following a violence among Myammar nationals in Kuala Lumpur, Eric Paulsen, the Co Founder and Adviser of Lawyers of Liberty, called upon the Malaysian government not to deport them. In Bangladesh, the law minister, Syed Anisul Haque announced that the Rohingya Muslims refugees from Myammar are to be banned from marriage and in Myammar, mobs said to be Buddhists and led by the Burmese Bin Laden, a monk called Ashin Wirathu, threatened death to these people. Despite the fact that the some Rohingya people had raped and seduced Buddhist women in Myammar, it is still a wonder why a monk could forget one of the most important precepts of Buddhism. Pāṇātipātā veramaṇī sikkhāpadaṃ samādiyāmi. I undertake the training rule to abstain from killing. Can a monk like some lay people get over protective?
