Let it Go

When HK star, Leslie Cheung jumped to his death at Mandarin Oriental hotel in 2003, he left a note saying it was due to depression. Jim Carrey, the Hollywood comedian of Dumb and Dumber fame, said he suffered depression most of his life and after his marriages failed, he sought the help of a psychiatrist who prescribed Prozac. Leslie didn't want to take medication; and Jim Carrey who did, was of the opinion that he couldn't depend on the drug forever. Modern doctors reportedly prescribed Buddhist mindfulness and a psychological aid which some claimed to be as effective as anti-depressants while others claimed their effectiveness to be mere media hyped but not effective. I suppose how could it be effective if the depressed person can't let go.
