Hot on the heels of the news of the Wuhan coronavirus which had gripped the world, there were lots of postings in Facebook about the pandemic. A viral picture of a Chinese lady enjoying a meal of the fruit bat turned out to be from an online travel programme shot some three years ago in Palau, an island in the western Pacific Ocean. Nearer home, some people condemned the practice of eating wildlife and the overzealous thought the pandemic was an act of the Almighty to punish the Chinese for their supposedly bad treatment of the Uighurs. I was just thinking Buddha would never behave such. Just like he would not send a tsunami to create havoc in a city.
