Talk about a Chinese known all over the world more for his non-Chinese name, I'd place my best bet on Kǒngzǐ 孔子. The Chinese sage of ancient time was born Kong Qiu 孔丘 during the Spring and Autumn period and was the first teacher in China to advocate mass education. He emphasized personal and governmental morality, harmonious social relationships, righteousness, kindness, sincerity, and a ruler's responsibilities to lead by virtue in his philosophical teachings called Confucianism which influenced the Chinese greatly. Kong Qiu is none other than Confucius.
