Just the other day, I read that a detailed study of the life of the Prophet Muhammad could be found on page 102, 103, 104, 105, 106 and 107 of a particular revised Malaysian history book. He is repeatedly praised throughout the chapters and students are then exhorted to emulate him as a role model in life on page 106, 111, 124, 133, 137 and 138. In Buddhism, I have come across idea like this. There is Contemplating the Qualities of the Buddha for Buddhists. Perhaps, people need to be prodded to contemplate. Now then, how about me prodding you to contemplate. Take out a piece of paper and list ten qualities of Buddha. Tip: Do not include the episode when he left the palace one misty night when the whole world was sleeping...
