Prod to Contemplate

Just the other day, I read that a detailed study of the life of the Prophet Muhammad could be found on page 102, 103, 104, 105, 106 and 107 of a particular revised Malaysian history book. He is repeatedly praised throughout the chapters and students are then exhorted to emulate him as a role model in life on page 106, 111, 124, 133, 137 and 138. In Buddhism, I have come across idea like this. There is Contemplating the Qualities of the Buddha for Buddhists. Perhaps, people need to be prodded to contemplate. Now then, how about me prodding you to contemplate. Take out a piece of paper and list ten qualities of Buddha. Tip: Do not include the episode when he left the palace one misty night when the whole world was sleeping...

Hi,

Thanks for sharing this link - but unfortunately it seems to be not working? Does anybody here at dhammadelights.blogspot.com have a mirror or another source?

Cheers,
William

I don't know why but for me the contemplating of the qualities of others never was interesting or learning.

We can contemplate on ourselves then, look at our positive and negative points and make the necessary changes to become an enlightened being!
